Sheila's Reads

Wendy is approached by a man at her local coffee shop that she can have the life and wealth she dreams of if she signs her soul over to him.  She is a hard sell but finally agrees if her demands are met in the contract.  Thinking he cannot lose, Bub agrees to her demands.  Wendy gets the fame as an author but she also faces the truth about herself and Bub and she must make a decision--to remain as is or use her out in the contract.

I liked Wendy.  She has to face herself and ask herself the hard questions--the easy way or take responsibility for her actions.  Bub is all seven sins and more.  When he is thwarted, he has his ways to bring Wendy to his thinking.  The sex is hot but Wendy realizes it is not the total sum of what she wants.  She puts Bub on notice but he thinks he can control her.  Wendy's agent, Daniel, figures prominently in bringing Wendy back from the dark side.  He is her source of strength.  Wendy's choices may not be the wisest but Daniel is there to guide her when needed. 

The story is interesting.  Good vs. evil, easy or hard, stay or go.  Wendy has to do a lot of soul searching to discover what she wants from life.  Somehow, it was never what she thought she wanted.  And when the fall comes nothing happens that Wendy expected.  I think it turns out much better than what she wanted or expected.
