FORSAKEN REALMS by Katalina Leon
| Bounty hunter Gemmina Nayar is called to recluse millionaire Jason Naveen's lab/planet to pick up fugitive Syan and deliver him to X57 Penal Colony. She takes custody of him but learns that not everything is on the up-and-up. Now what does she do? I liked this story. At first it is somber but then it picks up with Katalina Leon's sly brand of humor. This was not a laugh out loud read but one where I smiled and chuckled to myself often as I could imagine Gemmina and Syan interplay very vividly. She's headstrong and willful but will listen when things are not right. He is patient but equally stubborn when he feels he is right. They made a good team. The villain is hiss worthy. The world building is good, and sometimes, scary. I look forward to more of Katalina Leon. |
