SWINGING GAMES, COLLECTION 1 by Adriana Kraft
| This is the first six books in the SWINGING GAMES series. I loved it! The fact that the characters are in their 50's and older is wonderful. They address of issues of ennui in their sex lives. They talk about aging and illness and the toll it takes on their bodies and libidos. These characters form a support group for each other. There are mishaps when they try connecting with couples on the swinging site and they talk about what can happen, what goes wrong, and what goes right. I liked how they explore new ideas and are not afraid of talking through their problems. Yes, not everything is smooth sailing for the individual couples on their own or on their hook-ups but when things go right, the sex is fabulous (and Adriana Kraft can write sex). There are body image issues that are handled as well as issues of when one partner is unable to perform sexually or when one is widowed. The matter-of-fact way these issues are handled makes this series unique. This should be on everyone's reading list. |
