BILLIONAIRES FOR CHARITY by Marie Carnay
| Miranda's friend has convinced her to be part of an auction that will benefit her animal rescue league. Miranda figures no one will bid on a curvy full figured woman but she's wrong. Two bachelors get into a bidding war over her paying the largest amount ever in an auction. The men compromise and both date her. Miranda cannot decide which one she prefers but she will do nothing to hurt them when the nasty gossip starts. I liked Miranda. She was down on herself at the beginning but when she begins to be with James and Winston they help her learn to appreciate her own beauty. I liked James. He was exactly what you saw. Winston was not as fully developed and I had a hard time connecting with him. I liked the contrast between the story going between Miranda's point-of-view and James'. I wish Winston's point-of-view would have been as clearly defined. I got more of a sense that Miranda preferred James because Winston's voice was not equal to the other two. I would read more of Marie Carnay. She wrote a good story and I was interested to the end. |
