FLEDGLING by Octavia E. Butler
| A unique twist on the vampire story, Fledgling tells the story of an amnesiac who looks like a young teen but is actually a 53-year old genetically modified vampire. Someone is out to kill her but who? I enjoyed this story. The world building is excellent. I could see this being a trilogy. Unfortunately, Ms. Butler died a year after publication so there are many unanswered questions. I enjoyed the characters and the story line. I wish I had discovered Ms. Butler sooner.
