THE LISTENING PALMS by Juliet Shore
| I enjoyed the story but wanted to smack Sara upside the head. She made me so mad. She was 21 and thought she knew everything and would not listen to anyone. She constantly puts herself in danger and has to be rescued. I liked the mystery of the downed plane and how Max conducted his search. I do not know how he put up with Sara. The story is a slice of history of British colonialism in Africa. It is dated but is true for that period of time. |
