CROC AND THE FOX by Eve Langlais
Viktor and his agents break into the Mastermind's prison where shifters have been experimented on. Project hides because she is scared but Viktor finds her and rescues her. Now who is going to rescue him from Project? Viktor is a croc shifter while Project who he names Renee is supposedly a fox shifter but as Viktor learns her history he learns she cannot shift. His team teases him about Renee latching onto him. Renee also knows much that she has not told.
I enjoyed this story. Renee may look like she is a damsel in distress when the need is there for her to be tough, she gets tough. Viktor feels he is too old and too cold to get involved with Renee but she is more than what Viktor thinks. He also is changing his actions and feelings towards her. I found their relationship fun and I loved watching both their worlds turned upside down. This can be read as a standalone but I do want to learn the other team members stories so I will be finding those books.
