Four 1Night Stand stories revolving around the Marines in one unit. Most have been discharged. Some are still on active duty. To help some of their member return to civilian life the unit all put in applications for Madame Eva's services.
In Once Her Man, Always Her Man Rebecca is reunited with Luke, her high school boyfriend. He left her to enlist after 9/11. He did not want her to wait for him, possibly mourn for him. When they reunite he learns she was always and only his. I liked Rebecca. She did not get as mad at him as I would have gotten for the wasted years. She was quick to forgive him and move on with the future. Luke should be hit up alongside his head for his stupidity.
In Tell It to the Marine, James gets a 1Night Stand with his favorite movie star. They begin to talk and they learn a lot about each other and themselves in the process. I liked both James and Lauren. Both are down to earth and realistic. I also liked that Lauren threw herself into life and did not let her celebrity get in the way.
I loved Proud to Serve Her. Damon goes along with the pretense that he is Helena's waiter until he discovers the pain Helena tries to hide. I liked how he used food to arouse her. I also liked his cell phone solution. Both are likeable characters.
The final story, Her Marine, is the most emotional. Shannon has a painful past that she hopes she can overcome by using Madame Eva's service. Brody is a stand-in. The two of them need each other. I liked how Shannon was vulnerable but Brody did not take advantage of her. I liked his sensitivity and how he realized what she needed and allowed her the control of how fast they went. I hope to see more of them.(
